The Washington Dutch Lions FC Women's team will play in the Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL). The WPSL is a national women’s soccer league in the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico, and is on the second level of women’s soccer in the United States soccer pyramid, below the NWSL. The WPSL is the largest women’s soccer league in the world (in terms of number of clubs - 133). The season is played between mid-May and mid-July.
Washington Dutch Lions FC is playing in the WPSL in the Mid-Atlantic Region and part of the Colonial Division. Other participating clubs in the Conference in 2019 were Old Dominion FC (Virginia), Philadelphia Lone Star Women (Philadelphia), Philly Fever (Philadelphia), OPSA Magic (Baltimore) and CAFC Osprey (Frederica, DE). The winner of the Conference advances to the play-offs..
